This beautiful new vest is made with 4 skeins of Dark Horse Beautiful yarn.  It's a quick knit that you can have ready for your special occasion or that special gift for a loved one in no time!  We have plenty of Dark Horse yarn ready for this addition to your closet.  Patterns are available at the store, also.

KnitPurlHunter Mystery Knit-A-Long at Knitting Next Door


Our customers are enjoying the new Mystery Knit-a-long sponsored by Skacel and Michelle Hunter of KnitPurlHunter.com  Week one clue has led to many knitters getting a good start on this beautiful shawlette.  Week #2 clue comes out tomorrow (Thursday).  We have the yarn for this lovely project, so stop by and get started!  Michelle will provide the clues on her website and we’ll provide the yarn and camaraderie to get you to completion!

Join us for our Knitting Retreat!

It’s time to take a break from shoveling and the winter weather!  Take a weekend to enjoy your fiber-artist friends and some great comfort food!  Knitting Next Door is hosting a spring knitting retreat.

When:  Friday, March 15, 4-11pm
                Saturday, March 16, 9am – 11pm
                Sunday, March 17, 9am—3pm

Where:  American Legion Hall, 521 SW 3rd Street, Ankeny, Iowa

Knitting Next Door will provide a light meal on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday.  Drinks will also be provided.

What can you bring?  Your favorite comfy chair or cushions, a snack to share and lots of knitting/crocheting or other fiber art projects!  Tasty beverages are also welcome.
